I ran across these illustrations last week while “cruising some blogs.” They are amazing both because her style is whimsically adorable and that “missed connections” on Craigslist has some pretty entertaining posts.
If you enjoy both, you should check out her work in this blog article.

So, I am coming off of a week of Seattle sun, out of town Dallas guests and new job possibilites so I am full of motivation and finding inspiration everywhere. From local artists’ work to seeing Tupac resurrected at Coachella last night. So I will probably be posting some of it here.

Shaun Kardnil.  I saw Shaun’s pieces when I went to meet a friend for tea at my favoriate coffee shop this week and I just loved them. They remind me of a modern day version of vintage album covers from the 60’s and early 70’s. If you want to see more check out his website or drop into Joe Bar if you are in the Seattle area. When I get this job… I plan on purchasing one for my apt.

Enjoy your day! And check out Tupac’s performance last night. It might just blow your mind.

All things inspiring:

“Urban farmers don’t want Detroit to come back and be all urban farms. They want to farm and be able to go to a concert.”

About a month back, my lovely friend Erin Kendig took me as her guest to see a movie about city planning. Urbanized is a documentary by the guy who gave us the film Helvetica. There was a section in the movie about how urban farmers in Detroit are taking back their city and farming the land. It was quite an inspirational piece (and movie) and actually caused me to tear up. Who knew city planning could do this.
Now this urban agriculture is once again in my my newsfeeds from Grist Magazine via Twitter, and Facebook, in a new documentary called Urban Roots.  And once again, it gives me hope and inspiration to see people making things work in a new and different way with positive change. The article from Grist points out that where the community has been farming for decades that now the state of their economy allows for the movement to grow.
Pretty awesome. And I for one am inspired.

These examples were taken from here. Feel free to take a look at more examples. Even if this is a waste of time, it’s getting me re-motivated and creative so I’m goin go with it.

so, I’m not a musician, but this is a very very pretty bass. I can’t help it. It’s lovely. I’ve looked at this photo like three times today. So, I figured, I may as well post it.

This is the Apex bass, Ash body with a Ripple Ash top, Walnut neck, and Ebony finger board and binding. For more details visit www.behance.net/onodrim
